The schooner Bluewater is the classic entry level fore and aft rigged yacht. Crafted by Trudeau Classic Sailing Yachts, the Bluewater was moddled after the two masted work and pleasure schooners of the Northeastern United States during the age of sail.

Features

  • Designed to "really sail" using Second Life's built in wind system. Voice or HUD commands tril each sail for optimal performance under sail. Depending on wind conditions and seamanship, the Bluewater is apt to heel, drift, or stall.
  • The Bluewater is a traditional vehicle in the sense that there is no "wearable" attachment. Constructed of 29 prims, the Bluewater carries the pilot and a passenger.
  • A selection of hull and sail textures can be chosen with voice commands allowing a more personalized appearance, and templates can be obtained to emblazon the craft's name and port of call on the transom.
  • Furled sails, rigging, and other details are automatically rezzed and derezzed when mooring or casting off.
  • Additional skippers can be added, allowing more than owner operation.
  • Artificial wind commands are provided to overcome the often fickle Second Life Wind. SLSF racewind compatibility.
  • Auxiliary motor is included for poor wind conditions and marina friendly precision maneuvers.
