Prepare your boat for sailing

Well. This assumes, you have a boat. If not, look here first, how to obtain a boat.
Rezzing the boat
(Ok, this is not for you, you of course know already how to rezz a boat.)
- To rezz the boat, first open your inventory window.
- Type "Tako 3.3" into the filter line. You should see an image similar to this one:
- Use your left mouse button and "drag" the boat into the window that shows your environment. For best results, drag the boat onto water. No worry, the Tako is "copy", so you won't loose it from your inventory if something goes wrong. Make sure, you are allowed to rezz objects there. Some regions (SYC or Mowry Bay for example) restrict rezzing to members of their group or to certain areas near the docks.
- Once dragged you should have you boat on the water, looking somewhat like this:

- now sit in the boat. To do that, use the right mouse button to click the boat. You will get the usual "pie menu", with the 10:00 position saying "sit". Left-click this section. You should now have a situation like shown here:

If you are not sitting at the back-right (starboard astern, for all wannabe "real" sailors) position, stand up again and aim more careful the next time. If you seem to sit "sunken" in the boat: Can it be you have an animation override active? The next step is some magic that will be explain later. For the moment, just believe it and do it: Say the following in open chat:
- "wind dir 0"
- "wind spd 5"
Note: You need to say this every time you rezz a boat.
